About Carson
My journey with dignity began long before I had the word for it.
In my early career in New York’s corporate world — at J.P. Morgan Chase and Estée Lauder— I saw how leadership and culture could either ignite people’s potential or quietly diminish it. Later, working in advertising and then education, I witnessed the same truth in agencies and school communities. Across every system, one thing was constant: people thrive when they feel seen, heard, and valued.
When I first heard Dr. Donna Hicks speak about the Dignity Model in 2023, everything clicked. What started as inspiration became a calling. I brought the model back to my Montessori school, led staff-wide professional development, and wove dignity into our daily practice. In the summer of 2025, I launched The Dignity Way — to share this work beyond my own community and help organizations build cultures rooted in trust, respect, and authentic connection.
Montessori taught me to see each child with deep respect and care. Dignity gave me the language to extend that same respect to every relationship — with colleagues, parents, and teams.
For me, dignity isn’t a lofty concept; it’s an everyday practice. It’s how we listen. How we show up. How we repair when things go sideways.
That’s the work I love — and the work I now share through The Dignity Way.
I hold an Executive MBA in Strategic Leadership and a Whole School Leadership Institute certification, grounding my work at the intersection of leadership, culture, and human connection.
I live in Raleigh, NC, with my teenage son and our dog. Outside of work, you’ll likely find me working out, baking, or recharging in nature.
